Campus Cleanup
In May, a drone services company called Aero Velocity was on the Kent Campus to present a window-washing demonstration for Kent State University administrators and other local officials. The drones cleaned the exterior windows of Crawford Hall, and several other buildings on campus, demonstrating the increased efficiency, enhanced safety and costs savings that can be found in using drones for this type of maintenance service.
Much like vehicles, buildings need regular maintenance to stay in top shape both aesthetically and to prevent degradation of building materials due to environmental contaminants such as pollution or animal droppings. Regular cleaning, whether by human or drone, offers many benefits. However, utilizing drones to get the job done leads to better safety conditions, faster work and saves money.
