Sean A. Petiya
Biography
Sean Petiya is a software development engineer living in Cleveland, Ohio and has been an adjunct instructor at the iSchool since 2015. He teaches and helped develop the Digital Technologies course sequence, which includes Data, Internet, and Information Systems Fundamentals. Sean is a graduate of both the MLIS and IAKM programs at Kent State University, where he studied User Experience Design. As a student, his research focused on metadata describing comic books and graphic novels, and he published the Comic Book Ontology as part of his thesis. Sean also earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Youngstown State University and is a Microsoft Certified Professional and Specialist in HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
