About Us

The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University comprise eight spaces (CVA Gallery, Collection Room, Payto Gallery, Crawford Gallery, Michener Gallery, Downtown Gallery, KSU Hotel Gallery, and the Visual Resource Center) on the Kent campus and downtown Kent.  The galleries exhibit art from local, regional, national and international artists with new exhibitions every four to six weeks.  Students also have opportunities to exhibit their work in many of these spaces.

The School of Art Collection houses over 4,500 historical and contemporary works in an open storage space at the Center for the Visual Arts. This resource supports faculty research and provides students with hands-on access to significant works of art, fostering a deeper understanding of art history and artistic practice.
