"Care for the Collection" Listed as Featured Fund for KSU Giving Tuesday

The Kent State University Museum is a world-class destination for the study and presentation of historic and contemporary fashion, textiles and related art forms. The textiles and clothing in the museum collection, especially the historic, are quite fragile and require specialized storage to preserve them. Proper storage will slow deterioration by preventing hazards such as exposure to light, dust and changes in temperature and humidity.

Help us save the past for the future by providing safe, state-of-the-art storage and allow easy access for research and study of the museum’s renowned collection of fashion history!

Support for Care for the Collection will safeguard priceless artifacts for generations to come.

Your gift will help purchase new, metal space-saver, high-density mobile storage units that will ensure the future of the museum’s historical treasures.

As an added bonus, Museum director Sarah J. Rogers and Richard T. Miller have generously offered to match all gifts to the fund up to $1,000, which means your $25 gift becomes $50; $50 becomes $100!

Plus, for every 15 unique donors who give $25+ to this fund, we will also receive a $500 Bonus Participation Boost from the Kent State University Foundation!
