From the Football Field to the Small Screen: Josh Cribbs to Co-Host Television Show With Wife, Maria

Kent State University alumnus Josh Cribbs, a former star on the football field, will now become a star on the small screen with his wife, Maria.

The prominent Cleveland couple will co-host their own local talk show called “Cribbs in the CLE: Josh and Maria Live” beginning this fall on WOIO and WUAB.

The half-hour long show will focus on the couple and their discussions on the latest local and national news, relationships, parenting, entertainment, fitness and other topics of interest to viewers in Northeast Ohio.

The couple met at Kent State when Mr. Cribbs was a quarterback for the Golden Flashes football team, a position that was a precursor to his professional athletic career. The three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver went on to play for the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Baltimore Colts and Oakland Raiders.

Mrs. Cribbs, a professional fitness trainer, licensed esthetician and founder of Selfish Beauty, has experience in media with podcasting and blogging.

Married in 2002, the couple has two children. Despite their name recognition, the Mr. and Mrs. Cribbs are fun, down to earth and relatable, WOIO and WUAB Vice President and General Manager Erik Schrader told the Akron Beacon Journal.

“Cribbs in the CLE: Josh and Maria Live” will air weekdays at 9 a.m. on WOIO Channel 19 and at 7 p.m. on WUAB Channel 43 starting Sept. 9.
