New Nursing Lab

The healthcare industry has become one of the most dynamic sectors of our economy and is one of Geauga County’s largest sources of employment. Healthcare faces severe shortages of qualified professionals, and as the healthcare system continues to evolve and the “baby boom” generation nears retirement age, these shortages must be addressed.

We are training future generations of nurses. Students are able to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, in its entirety, at our Geauga Campus in Burton and fulfill clinical requirements within local healthcare facilities.

This new nursing lab will enable us to provide additional work-ready nursing graduates to meet the needs of local healthcare institutions. Local employers will obtain a more highly skilled workforce, thus enhancing the community’s future. Geauga County currently has more than 6,000 jobs in the healthcare field.

We will be constructing a new nursing lab that features a central skills lab, simulation rooms outfitted with the most current training equipment and classroom space.

“The renovations to the campus look so amazing and as a nursing major I love the expansion of the whole nursing unit. There is more space for students and areas where we have more equipment to practice on such as the simulation lab and nursing skills lab.” - Vladis Alimova, ’23, Nursing
