IN A FLASH: An Oath of Passage

Sophomores in Kent State's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program took an oath and received white coats in a ritual that sets a standard for healthcare professionals.

These ceremonies, taking place in January at Kent State's Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Kent campuses, were Kent State's first White Coat Ceremonies for BSN nursing ntudents.

Following the ceremonies, which also included a blessing of hands, the nursing students can begin their clinicals and work in the field.

Kent State nursing students read an oath at the university's first White Coat Ceremonies.
