IN A FLASH: Signs of the Seasons

Two of Kent State's four seasons are captured with crystal clarity in these scene near Engleman Hall that shows fall leaves under a sheet of winter ice, dusted with snow. In surveys of current and incoming students, some have mentioned that they enjoy studying on a campus that experiences distinct changes of seasons.

However, today's frigid temperatures recall the comments of a student from China who was visiting the Kent Campus in January, several years ago. She said "The air hurts my face. Why do people live where the air hurts their faces?"

Fall leaves, frozen in ice and covered with a dusting of snow.
