Step Into Wellness on the Mindful Mile

Mindful Mile walkers can engage in wellness activities while strolling the Kent Campus

Students, faculty and staff are all invited to participate in a fun, one-mile walk around Kent State’s Kent Campus on Friday, Sept. 22, while learning about university wellness resources.

At the start of the walk, participants will receive a ticket for collecting stamps at several stops along the route. These locations will offer opportunities to engage with different departments and organizations on campus and talk about their wellness offerings.

After walking the route, participants can turn in their completed tickets for a chance at winning a Starbucks gift basket or Downtown Dining Dollars.

Sarah Korzan, registered dietitian and assistant director of University Culinary Services, is coordinating the event. “It’s a very nice way to get some fresh air and exercise while getting to know some of our wellness partners on campus,” she said. “There’s no need to register for the event, so you can just ask some co-workers to join you and come whenever you can between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m."
