University Libraries’ Elizabeth Campion, interim coordinator of Special Collections & Archives and May 4 archivist, delivered a presentation on Kent State’s archives, the shootings of May 4, 1970, and her role as an academic archivist at the 19th Annual Women’s Leadership Symposium. The event was held March 5 at Saint Joseph Academy, an all-girls high school in Cleveland, OH. The students, many of whom are approaching decisions regarding career paths, heard from 26 Saint Joseph alumnae from various professions. Congratulations, Elizabeth!

The Center for Teaching and Learning is in need of judges for the fun and friendly Great Kent State Teach-Off. Seven instructors will present for 5 minutes or less on what their teaching strategy is, how it works and provide hints on how others can implement it in their classrooms. Please join us as a judge, get some new ideas and support your colleagues. Faculty, staff, and student judges are all welcome. 

Join us on Wednesday, March 25 at noon for the second Cultural Café of the semester! This month, we will host two representatives from Rwanda. After an insightful presentation about Rwanda followed by a Q&A session with the representatives, attendees will enjoy a free lunch featuring a selection of dishes from Rwanda.
