National Custodian Day

Always thank your custodians, but especially in October!

A holiday started in 1995, National Custodian Day is a time to celebrate and express gratitude and appreciation for our custodial staff who work around the clock to keep our campus grounds and facilities safe, beautiful and clean. Derived from the Latin word "custos," meaning "guardian," custodians make our academic buildings, offices and residential communities welcoming for our guests, visitors and employees.

Although Oct. 2 falls on a Sunday this year, we'd still like to make sure our custodial staff feels appreciated. Make sure to say "thank you" to any custodians you encounter this week!
