Four Kent State University TRIO programs aimed at helping underrepresented student — the McNair Scholars Program and three Upward Bound programs — recently received federal grants that will fund them for the next five years.
The programs are hosted through Kent State, though each has different audiences and objectives.

The Hunger Challenge was founded to raise money for WKSU and build awareness of the opportunities to reduce food insecurity in Ohio. Representatives from area food banks will go on air to discuss their work and hunger in the region. The Hunger Challenge offers WKSU contributors the option to choose “meals not mugs” as their thank-you gift in support of the effort to reduce hunger.
