Political Science at KSU offers many opportunities for students to expand their horizons and gain the skills required for career success. Our faculty bring their expertise to the classroom, offering courses on important issues including social welfare, human rights, economic development and disparty, inequality, and the fight for democratic freedoms. Students can benefit from experiential learning through for-credit internships. These excellent academic and internship opportunities empower students to be informed citizens who are highly competitive for careers in the public or private sector. Students majoring in political science gain research, critical thinking, and advanced writing skills applicable across careers. They learn collaborative problem solving skills and policy analysis techniques applicable in the government and corporate worlds. Our students are also prepared for advanced study in graduate or law school.
