Leadership Announcement

Dear Members of the Kent State University Community,

I am writing to share with you that Mary Parker, Ed.D., vice president for enrollment management, has accepted a position at the University of Florida to become vice president for enrollment management and associate provost.

In her time at Kent State, Dr. Parker provided excellent leadership to reshape our enrollment process and strengthen our commitment to ensuring access for all students.

She developed and implemented a holistic admissions model for the university that increased the academic quality of the freshmen class and elevated its diversity in all classifications, including race, geography and socioeconomic status.

Under Dr. Parker’s leadership, we continued to develop a university-wide Strategic Enrollment Plan. She also worked in close partnership with University Communications and Marketing in the development of marketing and branding campaigns to enhance our new enrollment management plan.

Perhaps most important, Dr. Parker built an effective and capable enrollment team who will continue her great work. She was responsible for hiring the associate vice president for enrollment management/student financial aid, the university registrar and Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management/Admissions Sean Broghammer, Ph.D. Dr. Broghammer will step into the role of interim vice president for enrollment management with Dr. Parker’s departure.

Dr. Broghammer shares our commitment to accessibility and degree completion and I have full confidence he will seamlessly lead the division in his new role.

Dr. Parker will conclude her time at Kent State on July 16. Please join me in thanking her for elevating our enrollment efforts and wishing her well in her new endeavors.

Sincerely,

Todd Diacon
President
