Anonymous Donor Creates New Endowed Scholarship Fund

Future Public Health Leaders Scholarship Fund is part of the university’s Giving Tuesday campaign

Kent State's College of Public Health (CPH) offers a combined bachelor/master's degree program for qualified Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) undergraduate students with outstanding academic records to pursue and complete their master's degree in a reduced timeframe. An anonymous donor recently pledged $25,000 to create a new endowed fund to assist a student in need in the combined bachelor/master’s degree program.

“I’m so pleased to offer this new scholarship to a public health student. This opportunity was made possible through the generosity of an alumnus of the College of Public Health and their support will make the difference to students this spring and for generations to come,” said Sonia Alemagno, dean.

Gifts to the Future Public Health Leaders Scholarship Fund will provide support for combined students beginning in the spring of 2021 to increase the pipeline of masters-prepared public health professionals to address health disparities, health trends or create health policies to protect our communities.
