Get Ready for the Most Spirited Week at Kent State

The first full week of fall is the most spirited week at Kent State University. The week of Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 is Spirit Week and includes homecoming weekend. The week will be full of events celebrating Kent State spirit.

On Monday, the Flash Advisory Board (FAB) is hosting FlashBash from 5 to 7 p.m. at Risman Plaza. FlashBash includes musc, free roller skating and Kent State bucket hat giveaways.

Wednesday is Mid-Day Crafting day with FAB, which will provide Kent State-themed crafts for students. Crafting activities will be on the second floor of the Kent Student Center from 12 to 2 p.m.

On Friday, you can meet the 2022 Kent State Homecoming Court at the Hometown Bank Plaza. See which students were voted into court and who will be walking across Kent State's football field on Saturday.

And get geared up for Saturday -- there will be Kent State-hosted events all day.

At 8 a.m. the Bowman Cup 5K Race is taking off, starting at the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center and heading through the Kent Campus. Right after the race, starting at Midway Drive and Main Street, the Homecoming Parade will kick off. The parade will be marshaled by former female student-athletes in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Title IX program in the United States. The parade will be livestreamed for those who can’t make it downtown.

For those on campus, the events continue.
