The event is happening as part of National Nutrition Month in combination with the Kent State University Farmer's Market and features University Culinary Services, the Student Dietetic Association, the Center of Nutrition Outreach and the Kent State Dietetic Internship

Sarah Korzan, "Peanuts style," created by Addie Lombard, a student worker in University Housing and Culinary Services.

"We're going to have all kinds of information for students who are looking to figure out how to make their diet a little better, build a healthy lifestyle and also learn where food comes from and how it incorporates into a healthy lifestyle and how it can impact your health," Korzan said.

Andrew Phillips, who is a sous chef at DI Dining, will conduct a cooking demonstration, preparing chicken salad on a crostini. Students will be able to sample Chef Eith's cooking and there will also be an interactive activity in which students can create their own take-home, custom spice mix.

Korzan wants to help Flashes make nutritious food choices for healthier lifestyles and is looking forward to seeing everyone at this fun – and tasty – event.
