Volunteers Needed for Flashes Take Care of Flashes Fall 2021 Call Campaign

Last year, more than 140 volunteers in the Kent State campus community contacted over 3,800 first-year students to check-in and ask if they needed any assistance from the university in the Flashes Take Care of Flashes call campaign. Feedback from the students was positive and many said they appreciated the outreach from faculty and staff.

This outcome has driven the university to host another campaign this fall. The campaign is scheduled to run from Nov. 2-12, but the university needs many faculty and staff volunteers to make it possible to call nearly 4,000 students.

The university will supply each volunteer with a list of about 25 students to call, along with supporting materials to aid you with making the calls. We want our students to have the resources and information they need to complete the semester and to feel cared about and supported.

To volunteer for the call campaign this semester, please complete the short survey by Wednesday, Oct. 27. Once all volunteers are in place, you will be sent a call list and supporting documents.
