WHO WE ARE

FLASHanthropy is an official Kent State University student organization dedicated to educating students about the importance of philanthropy and the role it plays in the day-to-day operation of the university. FLASHanthropists are a group of energetic student volunteers who lead the way in supporting the Kent State Emergency Grant Fund, as well as any other area of the university. FLASHanthropists are involved in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Educating peers about philanthropy and its impact on nonprofit organizations such as Kent State
  • Motivating fellow students to make gifts to support Kent State
  • Gaining valuable, résumé-quality volunteer experience and professional references
  • Planning FLASHanthropy outreach efforts
  • Providing feedback to Kent State Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement staff

FLASHanthropy is led by students like you: hard-working students looking for a way to ease the financial burden of paying tuition. FLASHanthropy is open to all students, and welcomes anyone who wants to make a difference in their own life and the lives of others.

WHY WE NEED YOU
FLASHanthropy is your opportunity to participate in philanthropy. Previously raising money for the Pay It Flash Forward Scholarship, FLASHanthropy now supports the Kent State Emergency Grant Fund. Established in spring 2020, this fund supports students who need assistance in overcoming difficult setbacks and unforeseen financial challenges resulting from the COVID-19 crisis.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
Your gift helps provide more aid for students just like you. Whether you choose to support the Kent State Emergency Grant Fund or any other school, college, department or major, we encourage you to get involved and start changing lives today!

YOU CAN AFFORD TO HELP!
Trust us - we understand that money is tight! But consider this: If all Kent State undergraduates contributed just $20 each year, we'd have an additional $340,000 in new scholarship money each year
