Pamela Jones

Pamela Jones, Academic Program Coordinator, Success Coach in University College serves as the University Success Coach engaging students in reflective experiences for self-discovery, confident-intentional decision-making, and student success. Pamela instructs the “Success Coaching: Defining Me! Defining Success.”  seminar course.  Pamela engages students in required and voluntary, individual, group, and workshop Success Coaching experiences. Pamela supervises L.E.A.D Ambassadors (Leaders Excelling and Attaining Degrees), a peer support student outreach initiative.  Pamela oversees the operations of the Peer Success Specialists (PSS), a Success Coaching peer support initiative in partnership with the Honors College. Pamela dedicates time to initiatives that provide a trusting space for students to: increase self-awareness; be open to new possibilities and new ways of thinking; and, to make decisions resulting in success based on self-knowledge. Pamela facilitates a variety of campus-wide department, staff and student training initiatives. Committee member involvement includes: University-Stewards, International Student and Scholar Integration Committee, and Summer Diverse Programs Interview Day.

The leadership of Pamela has contributed to developing elements of University College Kupita/Transiciones program, University First-Generation celebration, Career Exploration and Development (CED) Go-Pro!, DKS Day, along with restructuring the L.E.A.D. Ambassador peer-outreach plan increasing student touch-points and connecting activity opportunities.
