It is no secret that COVID-19 has reshaped how we communicate, collaborate, and connect with one another. Whether it was finishing a semester of classes from new learning spaces or starting the first semester in uncertainty, our students, faculty, staff, and alumni have continued to see the opportunities before them. The continued engagement and support through student mentorship and philanthropy allows us to continue to offer an extraordinary education using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for our students.
It is with great enthusiasm that the College of Aeronautics and Engineering is pleased to announce that we have selected two outstanding organizations to lead us in the Aeronautics and Engineering Building Expansion project. Please join us in congratulating DS Architecture and Donley’s with the design and construction, respectively.
DS Architecture designs for knowledge and engagement, and when combined with Donley’s construction efforts that go far beyond building a structure, but also building a community, we believe our students, faculty, staff, and alumni will find a pathway to continue to communicate, collaborate, and connect with one another.
Our current timeline is narrow as we prepare to hopefully break ground in July 2021. We share this timeline because our students need your support. Support from you sends a message of hope and encouragement to our students and community; “hope” is something we all have a current and dire need for. Your support provides this hope in the form of tools and resources that are used to face challenges [of tomorrow] head on. We will continue to place our faith in the industry and intellectual knowledge of our faculty members that will assist us in sharing our present story - and future potential, but we need your help and partnership to ensure our students have a place to innovate and persevere as they navigate the unknown.
We look forward to forging new partnerships surrounding this expansion project to ensure our timeline can remain on schedule.
