Ricky Castrigano from the College of Aeronautics and Engineering was awarded a $5,000 scholarship this year to help further his pursuit of a career in aviation, This award is the highest scholarship the Dahl Board Members offer and makes Castrigano the sixth Kent State University Student to receive the honor.
The Dahl Fund provide scholarships for qualified students who wish to attend accredited U.S. commercial flight training schools. This fund was created in memory of Captain Jason Dahl and all
victims of September 11, 2001. It supports future generations of pilots, young people learning to fly, through the award of aviation scholarships annually. Since 2002, 141 scholarships have been awarded.
