Kent State Rocket Team Launches to Spaceport America Cup

Good luck to the Kent State Rocket Team at the 2022 Spaceport America Cup

The Spaceport America Cup is the world’s largest intercollegiate rocket engineering conference and competition. Over 1,700 students and faculty will gather in Southern New Mexico for the annual Spaceport America Cup. Drawn by the opportunity to collaborate and compete at a world-class spaceport facility, they represent the best and brightest from more than 150 institutions located all across the world. 

Part academic conference and part design-build-fly style competition, the Spaceport America Cup has something to offer students, faculty, industry representatives, and amateur aerospace enthusiasts alike.

The Kent State University Rocket Team members who traveled to New Mexico to compete in the 2022 Spaceport America Cup are: 

 

The competition is held Tues. - Sat., June 21 - 25, in Southern New Mexico, with over 140 teams participating from over 20 countries across the globe.

During the competition, the Spaceport America Cup website will be updated (or live streamed), so you can follow along. 

 

The event updates will also be shared on the Kent State Rocket Team and College of Aeronautics and Engineering’s social media sites.
