Dr. Alex R. Colucci is a geographer, and adjunct faculty in both the Kent State University Department of Geography, and the College of Architecture and Environmental Design. His research and teaching interests center around the political economy of violence, social and spatial theory, knowledge production, and science and technology studies. His current research is focused on the design of capital punishment spaces and their connections to labor, everyday life, and resource extraction. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography and an MA in Geography from Kent State University, and a BA in Geography, with a minor in Environmental Studies, from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
