Two CAED Students Awarded by ASLA

Landscape Architecture at Kent State was celebrated at the Ohio Chapter ASLA (OCASLA) annual meeting on April 19 in Dublin, Ohio. Two faculty nominated graduate students presented to a jury made up of three ASLA professionals. Both students were recognized by the OCASLA for their work at the annual meeting awards ceremony. 

  • Anna Enderle was awarded the Ohio ASLA Student Merit Award for her capstone. The jury said Anna's work was, “...beyond interesting and shows a level of maturity and growth that are beyond her years.”
  • Katherine Kelleher was awarded the Ohio ASLA Student Honor Award. The jury said, “Her design intuition in her projects was very impressive, graphics were beautiful.”

The jurors were impressed with the program and the experiences that our students receive both inside and outside of the classroom. One juror commented, "In my opinion, your program is truly nurturing designers and providing the opportunity to grow a personal sense of style which is hard to do."

Associate Professor Reid Coffman, MLA, Ph.D was a speaker at the annual state chapter meeting.
