Timothy Feltes, MD, FACC, B.S. ’77 establishes the Timothy F. Feltes, MD Biology Faculty Researcher Office in the Integrated Sciences Building and endows the Department of Biological Sciences for continued advanced research.

Dr. Feltes graduated from KSU with a degree in zoology/pre-medicine and earned his professional degree at The Medical College of Ohio. A leader in pediatric congenital heart disease, Dr. Feltes’ decorated career spans from inaugural Director of Cardiac Intensive Care at Texas Children’s Hospital to most recently as Co-Director of the Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Senior Vice Chair of Pediatrics at Ohio State University.

Dr. Feltes is a longtime supporter of the health sciences and has recently been welcomed into the Kent State Herrick Society. When asked why he supports KSU so generously, he said, “It is a privilege to support our future scientists, nurses, and physicians. I owe a great deal to my educators and mentors at Kent State.”
