Faculty and staff may opt to enter to win a weekend getaway as well as four weekly season ticket drawings for Kent State football, Porthouse Theatre or Kent State University at Stark Theatre. Students may opt to earn FLASHperks and enter to win gift cards.

Winning Student Entries Selected from Environmental Conference 

 Hosts of the 2024 Kent State East Liverpool Earth Day Environmental Justice Conference welcomed nearly 50 guests to the annual event, featuring student research and discussions related to the theme: “The Impact of World Conflicts and Wars on the Environment.” 

Friend of the Campus: The Marion G. Resch Foundation

Kent State University at Salem recently held its annual awards ceremony, during which students were recognized for their scholastic achievements. Also, during the event, The Marion G. Resch Foundation received the 2024 Friends of the Campus award, the highest honor presented annually to non-students.

The annual award recognizes community members and businesses that support increasing access to higher education in Salem and surrounding communities. The Resch Foundation and the Kent State Salem Campus have a long-standing partnership that supports the Rising Scholars program in Columbiana County.

ADN Students Stock the East Liverpool Campus Food Pantry

A small group of nursing students took on a project with big results this semester: stocking Flash’s Food Pantry on the East Liverpool Campus.

The students began a campaign this semester to collect non-perishable food items, as well as personal hygiene items, and it was a total success. The shelves of the pantry are now filled with canned goods, cereal, rice, noodles, tuna, peanut butter, pancake mix, shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, baby food and much more.
