May 2024 Commencement Ceremony Information

  • Please check this page carefully to ensure you are ready for graduation.
  • Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 graduates will all be recognized and are invited to participate in Commencement.


  • The 2024 Columbiana County Campuses Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Beaver Local High School Auditorium at 46090 Bell School Rd, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
  • Graduates need to arrive 45 minutes prior to the ceremony.

  • A reception with light refreshments will be held immediately prior to the ceremony from 5- 6 p.m. for graduates and their guests.

Graduates with a Disability and Seating for guests with Disabilities

  • Kent State University is committed to making its work environment, programs, and activities accessible to individuals with disabilities. Please notify Danielle Baker-Rose at by May 1, 2024 if you or a guest need a disability-related accommodation. Accessible seating will be provided upon request.


  • Any student receiving an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or a doctoral degree from any one of the eight campuses may attend.
  • Students may attend BOTH the Columbiana County Campuses Ceremony on Friday evening and the Kent Campus ceremony.
  • Students must RSVP separately to each event. (Spring 2024 candidates can access the RSVP to the Kent Campus ceremony by logging into FlashLine)

  • We want to recognize and celebrate student graduates of all degree levels, at ALL Kent Campuses, including students earning Associate Degrees and students graduating from our amazing regional campuses! We’d love to invite them to participate in the 2024 Lavender Graduation.
  • This free event will be held Thursday, May 2, from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center ballroom, at the Kent campus.
  • Registration is required, but faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend and register. We are hopeful to celebrate regional campus graduates in our ceremony and hope to see you there as well.
