AID for Coaches

Awareness. Interaction. Direction for Coaches (A.I.D. for Coaches)

In December 2023, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services approved A.I.D. for Coaches as a mental health training under the Ohio Department of Education’s Coaches Permits.

A.I.D. for Coaches is a mental health awareness training that was created to ensure that information about mental health is distributed to coaches in a way that is convenient, comprehensive, and evidence based. The training provides coaches with the knowledge, skills, and resources to actively assist  individuals in mental distress. It uses both the Social Cognitive Theory and the Broaden and Build Theory of Positive Emotions to guide the content.

A.I.D. for Coaches is 60-minutes and offered in-person or as a live, virtual class.
