LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

At Kent State University, we believe that all individuals have the capacity to lead, and we are dedicated to the study and practice of leadership where purpose, vision, innovation, and collaboration take shape in creative and meaningful ways. Our programs provide distinctive opportunities and tools for leadership transformation informed by our leadership credo. Students will discover their leadership identity, learn how to lead in an inclusive, globally-minded community, and creatively express their individual leadership styles.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The annual Student Leadership Institute empowers students to discover the leader within and develop the skills necessary to excel in their careers and have a positive impact on their organizations, communities, and nation.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP & HONORS AWARDS

At the Student Leadership & Honors Awards ceremony, we celebrate and recognize our student leaders, organizations and advisors for their contributions to the Kent State community during the current academic year.

COLLEGIATE LEADERSHIP COMPETITION

Collegiate Leadership Competition (CLC) creates a dynamic practice field where students can apply what they’re learning in a context that stretches them to the boundaries of their leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities. CLC makes leadership a real, tangible experience for future leaders.
