  • Collegiate Leadership Competition

    The Collegiate Leadership Competition (CLC) is offered every spring semester to a maximum of twelve students. This course provides students passionate about leadership with a practice field, actively applying concepts learned in the classroom and culminating with participation in the global leadership competition. This course makes leadership a tangible, high-impact learning experience for current and future leaders.   • Each August, the Kent State Leadership Center hosts the Culture of Care Institute, an event that invites student leaders from across campus to come together and discuss their role in community development on campus. This initiative was an effort that resulted from a sub-committee of the Great Place Initiative, which seeks to address the campus climate study results that indicated a lack of sense of belonging for some of our students.  The overarching goal of the program is to help these prominent leaders understand their role in making Kent State a great place to learn, work, and

  • The Student Leadership Consultant (SLC) experience is a peer education leadership program that provides participants with intensive leadership education and training. SLCs facilitate workshops, provide individualized leadership consulting, and serve as an advisory board for the Kent Student Center & Involvement leadership portfolio. SLCs staff the Kent State Leadership Center as well as ongoing leadership programs throughout the academic year.

    Registration for our Annual Student Leadership Institute is now open. This half-day conference on Saturday, 2/25, will take place in the KSC Ballroom and focus on the topic of visualization, leadership styles, overcoming obstacles, and self-preservation.   • The Kent State Leadership Center offers a variety of workshops and trainings for students. These are offered regularly throughout the semester and can be requested on-demand using the online request form below. Use this menu to explore our signature offerings and outcomes of each workshop. Understanding that leadership is a broad topic, we can also customize a workshop and facilitate it at your next group meeting or event.
