    Biography

Dr. Jeremy M. Jarzembak is a Professor (Non-Tenure Track) in the College of Nursing at Kent State University, where he has served since 2008. With over 20 years of clinical experience in intensive care, he brings a strong clinical foundation to both his teaching and research. He teaches across undergraduate and doctoral levels, including courses on the care of the critically ill, nursing informatics, and healthcare data science. His instruction emphasizes integrating clinical expertise with emerging technologies to prepare students for the evolving demands of healthcare practice.

Dr. Jarzembak’s research focuses on immersive learning, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in nursing education. He is a Co-Investigator on several interdisciplinary projects, including a pending NSF proposal involving smart glasses and AI-driven haptic feedback for IV insertion. He also conducts research on immersive room simulation to enhance therapeutic communication and behavioral assessment. His work supports the development of innovative, technology-enhanced approaches to clinical training, clinical decision-making, and educational evaluation.
