    Biography

My experience as a neonatal intensive care nurse sparked a passion for questioning symptomology and disease processes in pediatric patients. Research nursing at University Hospitals has given me the opportunity to work with many research specialties to explore better ways to improve care for our patients. I earned a certification in clinical research and my PhD dissertation evaluated sleep disturbances and behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). My study goals include continuing to evaluate and find ways to improve the clinical symptoms and comorbidities associated with ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
