Nomination Process for the Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award

  • Kent State University faculty, students, staff and alumni may nominate someone for an Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award.
  • Individuals may nominate only one candidate.
  • Faculty members may self-nominate.
  • Nominations should be made using the Qualtrics form.
  • All full-time tenure-track and non-tenure track faculty members are eligible for an Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award.
  • Nominees have the option of accepting or rejecting their nomination.
  • After the nomination is accepted, nominees are asked to provide a one-page research statement and their CVs.

Nomination Process for the Outstanding New Faculty Research and Scholarship Award

  • Kent State University faculty, students, staff and alumni may nominate someone for an Outstanding New Faculty Research and Scholarship Award.
  • Eligible nominees must be within 7 years of becoming an assistant professor (if a faculty member spent 5 years at another institution and are now in their 3rd year at Kent, they would not be eligible).
  • A nominee cannot be recommended for both the Outstanding New Faculty Research and Scholarship Award and the Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award.
  • Individuals may nominate only one candidate.
  • Faculty members may self-nominate.
