Joe Giffen, Ed.D.
Biography
Joe Giffen, Ed.D. is a workforce development and career services leader with over 14 years of experience in career education, employer engagement, data-informed strategies, event management and sales.
Previously, Dr. Joe held leadership and coaching roles at Kent State University and Augustana College, where he led, and advised on, career curriculum development, assessment initiatives, and labor market aligned programming. Dr. Joe’s background spans college level teaching domestically and internationally, career coaching, program development, and advising the state of Ohio and international governments on career theory, student developmental models, and workforce development concepts.
Dr. Joe holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership for Organizations from the University of Dayton, with published research on the career counseling needs of student veterans. An MBTI Steps I & II Certified facilitator and U.S. Army veteran, he brings a practitioner-centered approach to workforce development focused on career readiness, transferable skills, and sustainable talent pipelines.
When he isn’t working, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, playing games of any type, and watching the New England Patriots win Super Bowls.
