The Listening Eye is a literary arts journal that publishes poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and artwork — and has been doing so since 1970 through Kent State University's Geauga Campus. TLE founder, Kent State Geauga English Professor Emerita Grace Butcher, edited the journal for 53 years.

TLE's first 51 years in print are now archived in Kent State Library Special Collections. The 2022-23 double issue, currently in production, inaugurates the journal's exclusive online publication

TLE welcomes contributions through its next open call, which will commence January, 2024, through Submittable.com. Please make a free account and search The Listening Eye for details at that time.
