The Listening Eye 2024 Call for Submissions: The Health Issue

Along with general submissions, our next issue will prioritize the topic of health. Contributors may conceive of health broadly in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and art. Veteran, novice, and student work will be considered. For the full call with guidelines, please make a free account at Submittable.com and search for The Listening Eye.

The Health Issue call will remain open from January 15, 2024 - May 15, 2024 (extended). Contributors whose work has been selected will be notified before July 1, 2024.

Guidelines:

• Only submit original work neither published nor under simultaneous review elsewhere.
• Submit  maximum of four poems
• Submit maximum of three short stories or nonfiction essays of less than 750 words each
• Submit maximum of six pieces of artwork (photography, drawing, design). Cover contest for artwork that relates by any stretch of the imagination to the magazine's title. Prefer vertical format.
• Include brief bio (35-40 words)
