Join us for an exclusive screening of The Ocean – Five Years, an award-winning Flying Scooter Productions documentary that follows Brett McCutcheon, a young composer navigating grief after the sudden loss of his brother, Ryan. Through classical and contemporary music, this powerful film explores the complex journey of love, loss and healing.

Following the screening, join us for a Q&A with filmmakers Courtney Gumpf (Executive Producer and KSU alumna) and Jennifer Schlepper (Director, Screenwriter and Executive Producer). They'll share insights into the creative process and emotional journey of making a film that brings grief into everyday conversations. This evening offers an opportunity to connect with your community while engaging with work that transforms how we approach grief.

At the College of Communication and Information, we amplify stories and engage with communities. We thank Flying Scooter Productions for their donation and making this event a reality for all of us; because some stories need to be shared, and some conversations need to begin.
