The Kent State University Museum announces the opening of “A Life in Style: The Wardrobe of James E. Mulholland” on June 30, 2023 and scheduled to run through August 4, 2024. Mulholland has made a significant donation of his remarkable wardrobe to the permanent collection of the KSU Museum.

TEXTURES Exhibition Receives Arts Alive Award
The Kent State University Museum exhibition “TEXTURES: the history and art of Black hair” has been awarded the Arts Alive award for Collaborative Project for 2022. The exhibition was co-curated by Dr. Joseph Underwood, associate professor of art history, and Dr. Tameka Ellington, former associate professor of fashion and interim assistant dean for the College of the Arts.
The Kent State University Museum's new Pathfinders exhibit brings together recent work of six creatives, all alumni of Kent State University's School of Fashion, whom are defining their own pathways amidst the everchanging industry of fashion, social media, and design.

The Museum was founded in 1982 alongside the Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising, and offers invaluable first-hand experiences for all students, faculty and staff at Kent State University. The Museum also serves the culturally rich communities of Northeastern Ohio as well as global audiences through the loan of objects to museums, scholarly research, and traveling exhibitions from the distinguished collection.
