Federica Forti
Biography
Federica Forti obtained her Bachelor’s degree in History of the Arts with a specialization in Museology and a Master’s degree in History of the Arts with a specialization in Contemporary Museology and Anthropology from the University of Florence. Her current research (Ph.D., Iuav University of Venice) focuses on fashion museology at the intersection of retail spaces and strategies with emphasis on sustainability and democratization of product culture and Made in Italy.
She has been working as an art and fashion curator since 2008 for private and public international institutions, and as a councillor (Culture, Tourism, UNESCO Creative Cities) in Carrara from 2017 to 2022. She is the co-coordinator of the cluster “Fashion and Costume” of ICOM Italia. She works as professor at University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Kent State University and Polimoda, in Florence.
