    Biography

Guido Riccitelli attended the State Art Institute and completed his studies in Fashion Design at Polimoda, in Florence in 1995. The program was conducted on behalf of the School for Special Purposes for Fashion and Costume at the University of Florence, prior to the introduction and he graduated with full marks, 70/70 cum laude.

For the first 15 years of his career, he built a solid foundation in the fashion industry through corporate experience across various sectors and roles. He worked with diverse companies and product categories, gaining expertise in design, patternmaking and product development across nearly every area of the fashion system. Among his most significant professional experiences are roles with Byblos as a design assistant, Trussardi’s design team, knitwear designer at B.P. Studio, multibrand product design and development at Lineapiù and accessories designer at Gucci.

In 2008, he transitioned into teaching, discovering a passion for education that allowed him to integrate the breadth of his industry experience. He began at small but prestigious art academies in Florence, where over five years he developed strong teaching skills, covering subjects such as Fashion Design, Draping, Patternmaking, Product Development and Fashion Lexicon.

Since 2013, he has collaborated with major international fashion institutions. At the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Florence, he has taught Fashion Design I and II, as well as Draping I and II. Until 2022, he served as faculty member at Polimoda in Florence, where he taught Draping I and II, Product Development I and II and Fashion Lexicon for introductory Fashion Marketing courses.

From 2015, he has been a lecturer at Kent State University, teaching Fashion Studio with a focus on design and collection development. He is also a lecturer at NABA in Milan, where he teaches Draping I and II in the postgraduate two-year program in Fashion Design. Since 2023, he is part of the faculty at IED in Florence, teaching Draping and Moulage I and II, as well as Fashion Design I and II.
