From High School to College: Navigating the Transition

During the interactive presentation, First-Gen students and all others will learn how to navigate the transition between high school and college. They will be learning from my personal experience as first-generation student and faculty how I overcame some of the challenges I encountered throughout my first few years of college. Participants will learn some tips that could make them successful in and out of the classroom.

The college with offer a "red carpet" and backdrop for students to come and take photos in front of. We will provide small star trophies for students.

"I Am First Pride" competition on Instagram. A&S first gen students will take a picture or video wearing an I Am First shirt or school colors showing their pride in being a first gen student. Top 2 submissions will receive book scholarships.

The deadline to submit a picture is Friday, November 12 at 5pm
