Christopher Hicks, BIS '13

As an entrepreneur and artist, Christopher Hicks was interested in numerous disciplines at Kent State University and wanted to have a learning experience that was unique to him. The Bachelors in Integrative Studies was a perfect match: he was able to choose two minors; Sociology and Africana Studies, which aligned nicely with his other interests. While at Kent Hicks created AfroPanda©, a children’s cartoon show created to help eliminate stereotypes. After completing the BIS Hicks received a master’s degree in design and visual communications at Kent State University. He’s worked as a designer for the Atlanta Hawks and with a major social-first creative agency.
