Design Innovation is excited to welcome Sarah McMahon as our new Outreach Program Officer! Sarah will develop and implement our 'un-course' program activities, including the DI HUB Orientation, DI collaborative workshops and other challenge-based events.
Sarah is an artist and educator from Northeast Ohio who earned her MFA in Textiles from Kent State University School of Art, where she continued teaching in weaving and surface design. She has shown her work both regionally and nationally, receiving the Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award in 2021. As a teaching artist, she has worked with the non-profit ArtsinStark in their arts integration program, and as the Artist in Residence at Spring Garden’s Waldorf School. She has also served as an instructor with Praxis Fiber Workshop in Cleveland.
