As a first-generation college student it is important to understand different characteristics about yourself and how to apply them to your everyday life at college. This presentation will allow for students to dive deeper in the meaning of who they are and who they want to become.

Connections, Community, and Belonging for First-Generation Students Monday, November 7 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m Virtual- Microsoft Teams Center for Teaching and Learning

In this session, educators will learn inclusive strategies that value first-generation students’ lived experiences through approaches such as open-ended student questionnaires and co-creating community agreements that can positively contribute to students’ self-efficacy and motivation for learning in our classrooms.
