Choose Ohio First Events

Mandatory events are organized for all Choose Ohio First scholars on a variety of topics including career exploration and preparation, professional development and work-life balance.

Students can access all Career Fairs information via Handshake and emails from KSUCOF@kent.edu

Choose Ohio First Fall Semester Events:

• September 24, 2025 Workshop
  • Welcome back to current and new students! The session included a brief introduction of the Choose Ohio First staff and an overview of the program. Invited guest speakers from CED discussed the importance of maintaining an updated resume when pursuing work-based learning experiences.
• November 12, 2025 Workshop
  • Students received interviewing tips from our guest speaker, now that their resumes are ready. In addition, a research opportunity through S.U.R.E. was highlighted for those interested in pursuing research.
