Employee Resource Groups

WHAT IS AN EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUP?

Consistent with Kent State University’s mission, goals and vision to better our society through meaningful voice, the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) foster a culture of respect, kindness and purpose.

The ERGs promote a culture of diversity and inclusion amongst Kent State University employees through continued learning. Members of all ERGs comprise of staff and faculty that work toward advancing the inclusion of employees with a common background, set of interests and goals. Their vision, mission, goals, policies and activities are fully aligned with Kent State University’s.

EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUP LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

While ERGs are supported by the Division of People, Culture and Belonging, all ERGs are independent and managed for and by Kent State employees. The ERGs are governed by the ERG Leadership Council, which is comprised of a representative from each ERG.
