Meet your Advisors
Rebecca Cash joined Kent State University in 2013 as an Academic Advisor in the Department of Sociology. Rebecca received her Master of Science from Florida International University in 2010 and has worked in academic advising of students in the social sciences since 2009. Rebecca’s goal is to provide students with exceptional, individualized service and to be a resource to students on their path to academic success.
Andrew Spencer is a first-year graduate student pursuing a degree in school counseling. Andrew graduated from Kent State University in 2014 with a degree in Political Science. Since that time, he worked as an intern for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and various other organizations. Andrew has returned to school to pursue his passion of helping students find their “why” and assisting them in developing and realizing their educational, career and personal goals. Along with his education and job as a part-time head soccer coach for Woodridge High School, he enjoys hiking, sports and animals. Andrew is happy to join the academic advising team and looks forward to interacting and helping students on their academic and college success journey.
