At her internship with Jo-Ann Stores, Visual Communication Design major Cara Berlan works on organizing and designing packaging to send to vendors.

She felt prepared for this opportunity and the tools she uses (Adobe Illustrator) thanks to her major coursework, especially Graphic Design 2 and Intro to 3D Design.

"I definitely want to continue a career in packaging design, and I think I would really enjoy developing packaging and a brand from the ground up. ... What I enjoy most about my internship is the culture at Jo-Ann’s. Everyone is so friendly and funny, and it is such a positive environment to be in.”
