The College of Communication and Information (CCI) Info Session is designed for prospective students who are considering careers in fields such as digital science, digital technology, digital film and media production, broadcast journalism, multimedia journalism, design communication, photography, photojournalism, communication studies, public relations, advertising, user experience design (UXD), human-computer interaction among many other career possibilities. The CCI info session is led by a college professional and broadly covers the Schools of Digital Sciences, Communication Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication and Visual Communication Design. You will also hear about CCI’s student organizations, including student media, studying abroad, CCI’s living-learning community in Olson Hall and more. After the information session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and see the facilities.
Make a day of it! Schedule a morning general campus tour and shadow one of our afternoon classes in your area of interest. Shadow class opportunities begin at 2:15 p.m.

Communication Studies Majors (COMM)
Communication Studies’ graduates are prepared to meet the challenges of today’s workplace—from international organizations, pre-law and politics, human resources, nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, marketing and business, and so much more. The School of Communication Studies offers concentrations in Applied Communications, Global Communications, Media and Society and Relational and Workplace Communication. Journalism & Mass Communication Majors (JMC)
Prospective JMC students and their guests will join us for a guided tour of Franklin Hall, our modern, multimedia facility and home of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC). They will see our HD digital TV studio, media newsroom where print, broadcast and multimedia intersect, and learn more about the JMC majors. Students and guests will have the opportunity to observe a TV broadcast following the tour.

Join us for a full day of activities to learn more about degrees in Photography and Visual Communication Design. You and your guests will have the opportunity to meet faculty members, college professionals and current students. This is an all-day event. You can stay for one session or stay for the entire day!
